4th meeting in 7 days

Once again another day out with my god-sister Sien Wei! Amazingly the 4th time in the span of 7 days! We probably have met more times over the span of 7 days than 7 years that we have been friends. Yet another enjoyable day spent yesterday with her and Louis. Similarly as the rest of the outing, this was impromptu too! During my Java programming lab test yesterday, Sien We called me. I returned her call after my test (which I think I did pretty well!). She needed my help to help return her working uniform to her work place at Chinatown Point since she decided to stop working after 3 days. Not wanting to show her face at the work place, she needed someone to return the uniform on her behalf.

From the far east of Singapore (Tampines) to the wild west of Singapore (Jurong West), Louis and I drove to her place. Waited for her in the car for almost half-an-hour and when she has not shown up, we decided to eat at the coffee shop first. Only after we ordered our chicken rice then she appeared. So after the late lunch then we drove to Chinatown Point together. We spent some time at Chinatown. Returning her uniform; In Hello Kitty Shop; Sien Wei was craving to eat the chicken rice at Smith Street.

From Chinatown we returned to my car and drove to Bugis Junction. Sien Wei wanted to go to Singtel Hello! shop to settle some stuff. Was supposed to go last week but delayed till yesterday. Then Louis also wanted to look at bermudas from Bugis Street. However I was the first to do my shopping. I bought a leather belt and a skinny tie from a push-cart store at Bugis Junction. Been long since I wanted to get a leather belt. As far back as when I was in Malaysia a month ago. But all were so expensive until I saw this one at $19.90. So I decided to buy it. It comes into use when I have to wear formal for presentations. I used to wear my dad’s one. I happened to meet with Carolyn outside Meiji at Bugis Junction. We were supposed to have lunch some time ago but never had chance to meet up. She was apparently with a guy- not sure if that was her boy friend. “Carolyn, will meet up proper soon!” Then after Bugis Street, so many people were staring at this…

And this is the forecast of the year for those born in the year of rat (that is me).

While many standing around took photos of every animal, I only took this of mine. Then we spent the rest of the day at Bugis. Shopping and shopping. We spent the most time at Kinokuniya book shop. Sien Wei was literally reading more than the summary of the books she was looking at. That was what took most of the time. She wanted to buy a story book about a cat but it cost $25. She decided to not buy it after all since she is heavily in debts. That is why for dinner when she wanted to eat at the Japanese Coffee House, I decided not to. Rather we chose to eat at Food Junction instead. Though it was still expensive the food there, but still cheaper than fine dining. My dinner was omelette rice with chicken cutlet with a refreshing Zapple as my drink.

Even though it was 9.30pm when we finished dinner, that was not the end of the day. Sien Wei was still craving to eat dessert from Ah Chew Desserts. So we crossed opposite to eat that! It was Louis first time eating the dessert there. Sien Wei ate her favourite mango pamelo with a scoop of ice-cream while Louis and I shared a bowl of watermelon honeydew with sago. While waiting for the desserts, we were taking more photos. The first one was when Sien Wei decided to act silly. “Haha!” :D

And finally a photo with the ever-shy Louis (who still do not want a clear photo shot of his face).

With that, we ended our whole day out together. Wonderful times!
