Day two of Chinese New Year is a day I seldom go out for visitations. I did however go out on the second day. Not for visitations and not with family. Instead it was with my friends. Geraldine and Kang wanted to go out for a movie. They asked me along and in turn I asked Sheree along too. I knew Sheree wanted to watch movie since her MSN nickname stated it. Sheree wanted to watch both the local movie productions but we only booked tickets to watch Love Matters by Jack Neo.
The movie itself was disappointing. Seriously the worst Jack Neo production ever (“Sorry Jack Neo even if you are from my church. :(“). Even though you (Jack Neo) was trying to explain the kind of love problems faced by different group of people (the married, the bachelor playboy, students), the story that played out was bad.
- Teacher always teaches in school to never end a composition with “It is just a dream”. And that was what you did.
- While in the “dream”, you showed the scene of the student which is in reality. That itself is confusing. Dream, Real, Dream, Real?
- The students in love, you did not need to write the story to conclude that way – for the girl to attempt suicide. You are encouraging teenagers to take the easiest way out of problems? And you are encouraging teenagers to take revenge? You could have written the script that the girl realised her mistakes and reconcile with the boy student.
- There were scenes in the trailer that was shown that the movie did not have? Not sure if this is a flaw.
- And there was one part that the voice-over was doubt dubbed badly! Same actor talking with a different background.
- Plenty of time wasting scenes just to stretch the length of the movie. Like the guy can be stuck under the stack of books calling for “Help” for a good one minute!?
Sorry again but this movie is really bad. And I paid $10 for the movie! :( Moving on… some photos…
We seriously had no plans to go after the movie. Most shops in AMK Hub we were at were closed. Going to town was not an option since either shops were closed or it will be too crowded. So Geraldine and Kang decided to come my house while Sheree went home to have dinner. More photos at my condominium.
After chilling at my place for the evening, playing computer and Kang learning how to play guitar, we drove over to Heartland Mall for dinner. Dined in at New York New York for dinner. And after dinner I drove Geraldine home to Bedok while Kang went home at Hougang.
That concludes my day two of Chinese New Year. Who and where will I spend my day three? Stay tune!
