After Pet Society now Restaurant City

Author: Bryan Chung | Files under Blog Entries

A couple of months ago when I started to play Pet Society on Facebook, I was hooked on it. But the interest of that game did not sustain long for me. For a few reasons I did not enjoy Pet Society. Erm okay let me list down a few reasons.

  1. Money that can be earn per day is so limited to the number of friends you have playing the game.
  2. Since money hard to earn, furniture and decorations are harder to afford too.
  3. Very mundane too. Kind of no objective in that game besides to decorate the room.
  4. It feels very “single-player” playing that game. And single-player games nowadays in this age, cannot last long.
  5. Worst of all, it takes a lot of RAM memory when I load that game ultimately lagging my FireFox.

Yes initially was fun since it was cute. But slowly it got boring. I have friends who even used game cheat to earn from estimate 6,000 paw points to 600,000 paw points. “What the hell right!?” People work so hard to earn up to 30,000 points and cheaters simply cheat to overtake. Ridiculous! Anyway here is a screenshot of my latest Pet Society.

Then not too long ago PlayFish that created Pet Society created a new game – Restaurant City. Introduced to me by my younger cousin Pristina. When I started the game, I was on the phone with her for over an hour to chat about it. Then just like Pet Society when I initially started, I am now hooked to the game. At least after running the game tips from PlayFish forum, I am able to quickly pick up some tips in playing the game. The feeling I have for the game is kind of similar to Pet Society. Though probably not as hard to play as Pet Society. When I mean “hard” I mean those points above. Though I have very little friends who added that application in Facebook. Thankfully the RAM memory usage is not as high compared to Pet Society. And another plus point is that I can continue to earn money in the game while the game is not loaded, unlike Pet Society that cannot. Here is a screenshot of my Restaurant City.

Well I shall just enjoy the game for as long as it can sustain me. I am heavily multi-tasking with Habbo, Restaurant City and (fluff)Friends. (fluff)Friends are in a period of “Egg Hunting” for Easter holidays. So I am trying to get myself involve in the hunt too. While Habbo is needless to say, I am sure log in when I am online. Just whether am I actually in my room to do trading or not. Hence I can understand my customers’ frustration when trying to get my attention to trade. I have caused myself to lose potential genuine customers too. And on top of all the games, I have my friends to chat with, surfing the Internet for new TV shows, movies, games, applications, etc! Seriously heavily multi-tasking these days. Here is a screenshot of my (fluff)Friends.

Finally I am also playing basketball for almost every day since two weeks ago! Only resting days are the weekends. So my body is seriously sustaining lots of injuries too. I believe it is crying out to me,  “PLEASE REST!” “Haha!” But basketball is really fun!

I just read your blog and I think it sounds like you were hooked on Pet Society but are now playing fluff friends. I am the opposite, I was hooked on fluff friends and just started playing Pet Society this May and am now hooked. I think it’s because it’s so hard to get things so I have to constantly try to earn coins. If you’re interested (and it’s not against PS or FF rules) would you like to trade our PS stuff for my FF stuff? If so email me with the subject line “PS vs FF trade”. Thanks either way! =)
