For those who read about Love Busters (Part 1), here is Part 2. Pastor Kong finished up this topic last Saturday at church. For those who have not read about the Part 1 – basically Love Busters are a group of people who destroy marriage (or even in relationships out of marriage I believe). There are altogether 6 kinds of Love Busters. First 3 kinds in details can be found in Part 1 while Part 2 talks about the remaining 3. In summary:

1. Selfish Demands
2. Disrespectful Judgments
3. Angry Outbursts
4. Dishonesty
5. Annoying Habits
6. Independent Behavior

Just wanting to talk briefly about one point here – Dishonesty. Not sure how to link it with a problem I had but it goes like this. Recently I made a new neighbour basketball friend Kah Yan. All started very well until she begin to avoid me during the start of the week. Obviously things were wrong and finally I decided to confront her. Whatever happened, I shall not disclose here. Nonetheless it was nothing serious after all. But the point is that because we were honest to each other, we were able to confront the problem head on and not having to destroy the friendship. Today we are better friends than we were! Being honest is extremely important as what pastor preached. Pastor Kong said…

“Truth has a property of always rising up to the surface. You cannot hide the truth forever. Dishonesty only postpones the truth of the matter.“

I really like those statements. Also I like what my good friend Sarene shared with me this analogy when I shared with his this problem. In her SMS to me, I quote directly…

“friendship is just like a bus journey.there will be many ppl sitting with you on the trip.some sit close to you.some far away at some other seats.some alight halfway thru.but only some wil sit with you till e end.“

That I also found very meaningful! I am glad to have friends who stood by me when it matters to let me know I am not alone!
