McDonald’s is getting too expensive!

Yesterday afternoon, Louis and I wanted to eat McDonald’s new double fish fillet burger with seaweed shaker fries. When we arrived at McDonald’s we were shocked to learn that the price of that meal will cost $7.40! Immediately we decided to not eat. McDonald’s is getting more and more expensive. Constantly raising their price yet the quantity of the food shrinks. Come on, $7.40 for a promotional meal?! I seriously wonder how students are even thinking that McDonald’s is cheap. Well probably students just eat student meal though. Actually to be frank, McDonald’s is not the only fast-food restaurant like that. Even KFC standard of food quality is bad from what I tasted at Heartland Mall branch. Even Popeyes at Changi Airport, the chicken is so small nowadays. When they first came into the Singapore market, it was much better. Probably the only fast-food still maintaining good quality is Burger King. At least I will not mind paying that little bit more at Burger King to eat better quality food.

Louis and I ended up at Pizza Hut for lunch. “Yes! Pizza Hut!” At least their set lunch is only $6.90! Cheaper than that McDonald’s meal we wanted to eat. Even restaurant like Pizza Hut can offer better affordable meals. Swensens’ offering one-for-one lunch. In fact many places are doing one-for-one lunch. Why must fast-food increase their price so high?

Haha!” We kind of had the whole Pizza Hut to ourselves! Anyway with so much I said above, if you still like to eat McDonald’s, KFC, Popeyes, etc. please continue to go and dine in with them! Different people have different opinions. Sure I will still eat at those places. :)

  1. Cuz.. 1) McDonalds need to cover their overhead cost of TV ads (which is too frequent nowadays)

    2) to cover overhead such as electricity & staff for their 24 hrs services

    3) to cover back so called “cheap value meal lunch” price promo.

To buy two big Mac meals for My girlfirend and I cost over 16.00 in toronto the other week.

Outrageous, especially considering you can buy the same at Harveys for 12.

I recently stopped by McDonalds for breakfast and 2 sausage & egg biscuits (getting smaller all the time) + 2 hash browns & 1 senior coffee cost OVER $8.00. I was shocked and complained! I can eat breakfast buffet and have all I want at several local restaurants for $6.00. Needless to say, I WON’T be going back to McD’s.

Their prices haven’t been the same since the whole McCafe thing, apparently they now think they’re the new Starbucks.
