Never have I have sermon updates back to back. But since I have nothing else to blog about, I shall blog about the sermon preached by Rev. Dr. Kong Hee at City Harvest Church over the weekend. Pastor was sharing from the book of Jonah in the Bible.

The book of Jonah is a story of God’s love, patience and love suffering to His people like you who want to be use by God. God’s first priority is to make you a better person. Therefore God will setup situations for you to be tested. All so that in the end is to make you a better person in life.

God created many situations for Jonah to be test. Jonah had to wrestle with God so much that he even thought of dying. But Jonah became such an important example for us all today.

In my longest sermon notes I ever copied, please take your time to read this sermon. I pray that it will change your mindset of how you cannot be afraid of confrontations, criticisms or worries about uncertainties. Sometimes God puts you under intense pressure until you have no choice but to turn to God and realise God is the strength for you.
