And finally my last Sakae Sushi meal for 2009 was with… no other than my buddy Louis! This time round we dined in at Sakae’s branch near to us – Heartland Mall. Instead of only eating sushi, I ordered some food that he has not tried before. Such as Sakae’s very tasty Obinmushi, also known as teapot soup. Louis was wondering, “How nice can just a soup be?” The funny moment came when the teapot was served; he did not even know that the cup that is used to drink the soup is on top of the teapot. He thought it was part of the teapot itself. “Haha!” And when he took the first sip, “WOAH!” was his reaction. Never had he drink such tasty soup he mentioned. We also shared a bowl of beef udon and ordered ebi (prawn) tempura.
Look at their mouse, it is so cute! :) So that is all for my time dining in Sakae Sushi this year. I look forward to next year, January when I plan to maybe their Sakae Teppanyaki for the first time. Wonder how much it will cost me. May not be cheap I think.
