(Habakkuk 2:1) I will stand my watch And set myself on the rampart, And watch to see what He will say to me, And what I will answer when I am corrected.
(Habakkuk 2:2) Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it.
You must catch hold of a vision for your life that will expand you to a higher level as a person.
Over the weekend services at City Harvest Church, Rev. Tan Ye Peng preached about how we should catch hold of the vision that will enlarge us. God is a God who wants to give you visions. In the Bible, God gave Abraham a child even though he was hundreds years of age and his wife was 90 years old. Neither age nor anything can stop God from doing what He wants. However, did you set yourself in the right place to receive God’s vision for you? Not sure how?
“A small man is made of small thoughts.” – Victor Hugo
Pastor went on to teach about 9 areas in our interpersonal life that we should also enlarge in. In summary…
- Leadership - Not Laws but Liberty
- Serving – Not Hierarchy but Heart
- Ability – Not Self-centered but Spirit-centered
- Discipline - Not Legalism but Love
- Creativity – Not Fear but Faith
- Love – Not Control but Care
- Work – Not Duty but Devotion
- Attitude – Not Getting but Giving
- Lifestyle – Not Explanation but Example
There is a final result to that you will achieve after you enlarge in those areas. To find out the details of this sermon, be sure to download my sermon notes and read it. I pray that you will be blessed by this sermon! It is really powerful!
