Jokingly I told my friend Sebrina, “I should have gotten attach only after Valentine’s Day.” Then all she said was, “Cheapskate!” Haha! Since being attached a week ago, I was already thinking of what to buy for my dear for Valentine’s Day. Or even wondered if I needed to buy anything since it was barely a week into the relationship. Then Louis convinced me it was not right if I did not get my dear anything. It is after all, Valentine’s Day even though it falls on Chinese New Year. So for the past few days, I visited many watch shops thinking of getting a couple watch for my dear and myself. Finally I went out with her yesterday, together with Louis. Louis wanted to go Uniqlo to buy a pull-over. So while in town, we were shopping around. Then my dear finally saw few watches that drew her attention.

We were at Wisma Atria City Chain. Altogether we tried about 4 watches. She was considering between the black or white design. I made up the mind for her of choosing the white one. Then I told the sales person to pack it. But I did not want to buy one for myself because it was rather expensive. But when I asked my dear, “Should I buy?” She replied me, “I thought it was supposed to be a couple thing?” With her reply, there was no more second thought for me and I told the sales person to pack the other. But because black suits me more, she decided to take the black one too.

Even with a 10% discount, both the watches cost me $250. With that, it crossed the Chinese New Year budget my parents gave me. Surprisingly I do not really feel that heart pain to spend the money. “Well that is love eh?” :) Maybe because I know I can take back some money during Chinese New Year from the red packets plus my birthday red packets too! I think I should be financially still fine through February.

At the end of the day, it was her happiness and “thank you” that mattered the most. :)
