Social City is a new game developed by Playdom. Also my first time playing this developer’s game. Social City immediately caught my attention and I got addicted to the game very quickly. I am one who always enjoys playing Sim City titles back in those years. Social City is one such similar concept game! So addicted that I could spend every 15 minutes clicking on contracts to earn money. Very quickly, I expanded my city size to the largest possible by the current version. Building my $1million casino, swimming pools, high-rise apartments, etc!

However, as fast as the addiction to the game came to me, it is also leaving me very quickly now. The game took a plunge down since towards the end of last week. Contracts timing were all messed up. Buildings that were constructed simply disappeared. Game play start to lag very badly. Visiting two neighbours and going back to my own city causes the game to crash. The game is 95% unplayable at this moment. Worst yet, Playdom staff does not seem to hear the cries of their customer in their “Technical Support” forum.

We (the players) feel that the game was not even ready for a beta release. For me, from every 15 minutes loading the game to click the contracts to earn money, I now make 1-hourly contracts. But when it got worst, I changed to 6-hourly and very soon at this rate, I will probably visit the game one per day. I will keep the game for the time being. I hope improvements will be made because I really want to continue this game however disappointed I am now. Anyway here is a screenshot of my city that is not fully decorated.

Okay that wraps up all my current games I am playing actively in Facebook. I was considering playing Tiki Resort after seeing my brother playing it. But when I saw the game was developed by Playdom, “Ha!“. I do not even want to go near their games if they cannot even solve the bugs they have in Social City. Doing a “top 10 facebook games” search in Google, I came up with this website. Seems interesting and a lot of choices I can consider. And I do not know what to play next when (not if) I give up playing Zoo World and hopefully not, Social City. Suggestions? :)
