Like eggs? Then you should like Hatched restaurant. Located at Evans Road, in Bukit Timah area. I heard about this restaurant through Pioneer magazine – my monthly magazine from army sent to me. I was so afraid that the restaurant would be very crowded after reading many positive reviews about this place. Some said the place would be packed even at 11:30am. However when I was there, thankfully it was not crowded.
Basically Hatched serve up all kinds of ways there are to cook eggs. Be it baked, boiled, fried, poached & scrambled, they have them all. It is kind of breakfast all-day menu. What I ate was the Egg Benedict. You can choose to order just one egg or have two. I chose one. It was pretty nice with a perfectly poached egg on top of a hard but still tasty muffin. The flavour of toasted muffin and egg matched nicely. This dish is also topped with hollandaise sauce. Salad comes together with the dish but strangely I there was not dressing on the salad.
And with children coming in, I cannot resist not taking photos of this particular girl who stood under the fan for so long, refusing to sit with the family. Then while I was taking photos of her, the mother told me she was standing there because her pants were wet after running. So she wanted to stand below the fan to blow dry. Haha! So cute!
Do try out Hatched when you got the time. I supposed driving there is most convenient. There is a small car park next to the place. So I believe there will be little (or no) parking space available when you go at the wrong time.
