With such money, I can go on maintaining this website based on these advertisements! “Thank you Nuffnang!”

On the same night of eating at Wild Fire Japanese Western Grill (previous blog post) with my mom, after dinner we decided to eat dessert at another new shop. Sweet Hut Dessert Cafe is another newly opened shop located just a few shops away from Wild Fire. Sweet Hut Dessert Cafe specialise in dessert. Although they have another snacks and finger food on sale too.

The dessert was nice! My mom ate their red bean ice while I tried their red jelly with longan. So if you are nearby this area, do try their dessert especially on a hot day. :)

Last Sunday, together with my mom, we dinned in at this newly opened restaurant nearby our house. Named Wild Fire Japanese Western Grill, it mainly serves western dishes. Looking from the menu, I actually feel it’s more like 95% western dishes like fish & ship, steak, chicken while only two dishes are Japanese ramen. So I guess that their objective to brand themselves as a Japanese restaurant is mainly to attract customers. After all, I believe more people are really more attracted to Japanese food than Western. So by doing a fusion in branding, surely it will draw more customers!

Anyway onto the food quality itself. Erm my mom said the ramen was just like instant noodles. While the beef in the soup, at least they grilled it first before putting into the bowl to serve. Not like those stew beef kind. But the taste was nothing fantastic. At least if the soup tastes good, it will still be something. But yet the soup taste was not that nice. As for my fish & ship, I was disappointed with the fries. It was served kind of cold and not crispy at all. And the fish was too salty in the seasoning. The best dish on the fish & chip was the coleslaw.

Conclusion… well still cheaper to eat at Western food restaurant like New York New York. $7.50 for a plate of fish & chip, surely cheaper than New York New York. Oh, and there is no 10% service charge and no 7% GST. I will still go back to give their other dishes like steak and chicken a try. Hopefully the second round I visit will be better!

After months of playing Social City, a Facebook game developed by Playdom, I decided it was time to quit playing. The decision was made after I realised this…

In order to expand my 5th district, I would require 79 neighbors! And I understand from the forum that there will come I stage where I need about 100 neighbors and above. Obviously I do not have such amount of friends playing this game. And I refuse to add strangers to my Facebook to for gaming purpose. Therefore I felt that this requirement done by the developers is STUPID. And because of this very main reason, I am giving up this game. I do enjoy this game since I do enjoy simulation games – building cities and tycoon games. But anyway this game got bored along the way because the developers have concentrated too much on paying customers (using cash to buy in-game stuff) and seriously lack progress for those non-paying customers like me. Oh well, they are after all just trying to earn money.

So with that said, I will leave you with some final screen-shots of my Social City in case anyone who drops by here wants ideas for their own cities.

So I am left with two games I am actively playing on Facebook. One of which is also by Playdom, their new game – Market Street. While the only other game is still the ever-going Restaurant City. I doubt I will be active in another game (unless is really fun) because in two weeks’ time, I may not have so much time left to be actively online.

I was supposed to dine in at Sakae Sushi this month together with Cheryl. Sadly that plan did not come to past because she was too held up with her school work. Therefore I landed up dining in at Sakae Sushi with Louis and Derrick. Well not bad of a choice of friends too. Been long since I last met with Louis because of his internship. While my friendship with Derrick has been improving over the past weeks. So together, after playing basketball, we walked over to Heartland Mall to eat at Sakae Sushi.

Much to my surprise while queuing for a table, the supervisor and store manager will remember me by name! Did I really leave such an impression with them on my previous “unpleasant turned pleasant” visit? It must have been more than a month ago! As it was quite crowded, the supervisor could only offer me counter seats although I requested for a table. So we went ahead to sit at the counter seats. Not too long later, a table was cleared and we were offered to be seated there. That was a nice gesture by the supervisor that was very much appreciated by us!

I told Derrick not to worry about what he wants to eat. I just told him to enjoy whatever he wants. :) So at the end for our very-full dinner when I pop the question, “So how much you want to pay?” His facial expression changed to being so shocked. “Haha! I was just joking!” I told him. But he really does enjoy Japanese food. At least he could share to eat salmon sashimi with me because Louis does not like it.

Louis ate two servings of fried tofu while Derrick and I shared 3 plates of salmon sashimi! So just the 3 red plates cost us $20! Our total bill was just over $80. But a part of the cost of the dinner, I truly enjoyed myself having both my closer friends to share a dinner with me. :) Here is Derrick and me!

Looking forward to get a renewal of my Sakae Card now as it will expire end of September. :)
