All Things Work for the Good

Author: Bryan Chung | Files under Blog Entries

All things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.” – Romans 8:28

Yesterday at church service, pastor reminded the church of that verse from the Bible. A verse that I am now dwelling over and over on. A good verse to continue to encourage me when things do not seem to be going on correctly.

During those times that the world seems to be falling down on me. – “All things work together…“.

When I was hurting physically, mentally and emotionally so badly, that it seemed like a victory just to put one foot in front of the other. – “All things work together…“.

When my relationship seem to be crashing recently. – “All things work together…“.

In the moments of my life when things were the darkest, my emotions were swirling and my head was spinning, it was and is only by faith that I could say through my tears, “All things work together for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose.”

And as time passed, I can look back at those same experiences and see the hand of God protecting, guiding and turning that which Satan meant for evil for His glory and my good.

He will not let your foot slip – he who watches over you will not slumber.” – Psalm 121:3

I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

The God I know, will never put me into a problem knowing I cannot handle it. The very reason why God allows problems to happen is to test us to see how we handle them. And once the problem is over, we can gladly say we made it through because, “All things work together…Hallelujah!

New Blog Theme

Author: Bryan Chung | Files under Blog Entries

After staying with my previous theme for more than a year, I figured it is time for a change. Reason for so long not changing to another theme is because I really cannot find another nice and free 3-columns theme. I do not want to use 2-columns because I am used to sorting out my widgets throughout 3-columns. But few days ago I found this theme and I like it! Maybe because it is my favour blue colour! One thing that I may not like is that each blog entry that appears here is not open to the full length by default. Not sure if there is a setting I can tweak to make that happen like my previously theme. I shall go check on it now. And if you know how to, let me know! Solved! :D

Here is a look at my previous theme.

I will not mind going back to that theme if I just want to simply switch around from time to time. And if you do have nice themes for me to try out, please leave me a comment to let me know! :)

P.Osh Brownies

Author: Bryan Chung | Files under Blog Entries

Erm, I wonder is their name P.Osh or ePosh. Whatever posh is it, have you tried their brownies? It is so nice! I was first introduced to this brand of brownie by my girlfriend who bought it for me from her school. Then recently P.Osh (okay I’ll say P.Osh for now) setup a small store in Heartland Mall selling many different varieties of brownies. Below are two brownies that my god-sister Sien Wei bought for me recently when she visited me after having a job interview nearby my place.

I ate the one with M&M while the other one was eaten by my girlfriend. Really nice brownies! You should try it when you have the chance. I supposed they are roaming around kind of store. You can visit their website at www.eposh.net. :)

Singapore City Night Photos

Author: Bryan Chung | Files under Blog Entries

Taking my Canon 550D out for the first time at night to take night photos. I went to Marina Square area where I visited Singapore’s iconic Merlion statute, moving on to Esplanade and finally to the newly constructed Helix Bridge that is link to the under construction Marina Bay Sands integrated resort.

I am so thankful that I bought a tripod together with the DSLR. The tripod cost me only $20. Without the tripod, seriously it is impossible to take good night shots. Especially with my shaky hands. Although I could have gotten a better tripod, at least the one I have is still good enough. I love the photos I took. I think I am one who prefers photos with flash. It kind of makes the colours more original compared to shots without flash. I know many do not like flash shots. But when flash is used properly and correctly, I believe the photos are nicer!

I would love to take more night photos next time!
