How about starting the week with some Honey Stars or Jelly Beans? :)
I think I still like the jelly beans with the brand – Poiful. Anyway have a good week ahead! :)
God bless!

Bryan Chung I like this block I done on NBA 2K11! On my offensive end, I was fighting for the rebound, after the first tip of offensive rebound; I lost the ball on the second attempt. So while the opponent fast-break to the opposite end, I chased the play and blocked the player attempting to dunk. Love it! :)
That block totally reminds me of how Manu Ginobili blocked Kevin Durant!
“Get that out of here!“

Bryan Chung Looking for a place to eat steak, pizza, pasta or some awesome dessert? Or even have a drink of beer or wine? Then you should try Lenas at NEX Shopping Mall. Lenas is a sister computer of Ministry of Food – another good dining place for Japanese cuisine. I dined in at Lenas with my mum. It was my first time there but it wasn’t for my mum. The environment was nice but my mum did feel that the music was rather noisy. It was fine to me. While she ate cooked salmon spaghetti with aglio-olio based, I ate the chicken baked rice.
The spaghetti came first and actually by the time my mum finished eating, then my baked rice came. So the wait was quite long actually. I supposed because it takes more time to bake the rice. Initially it tasted alright. But the more I eat, the more I felt the rice were rather hard. My mum did say that because those part I ate were the crispy part. While some likes it, I may not. I thought it was more of like overcooked rice. I did not finish my rice in the end. Mainly because I was also saving my stomach for dessert!
The dessert was a must-try since Lenas is also famous for their dessert. There was a couple next to us who came in just for dessert. My mum and I shared this fried original banana with ice-cream served with almond flakes and chocolate chips. And yes it was good! Very nice! :) Nicer than my rice I think. :) There are many more dessert options in the menu.
I will eat again at Lenas. Oh and if you are a Ministry of Food member, you get free drinks too. And 10% discount and even rebates on top of that. Once again, Lenas is located in NEX Shopping Mall, next to Ministry of Food. They may have other branches, but I am too lazy to Google it. :)

Bryan Chung Exactly one month after I used my (then) new Logitech MK260 combo keyboard and mouse, I had to buy another set of keyboard and mouse earlier today. I was so pissed with my mouse. Initially it did not give me the problem until recently. My mouse will just “die” all of a sudden. Like the battery has been removed. It was stated that the battery can last up to 5 years! So anyway I switched the battery but still the problem kept occurring. It is worst when I am playing internet gaming like Blackshot, then when my mouse dies, I am a free kill in the game for others. Like I said, the problem worsens last night and I had enough of it. I even tried to stuff blu-tack into the battery compartment but still do not work for more than few seconds. YES FEW SECONDS! That bad! When I bought it, I knew it was a budget wireless keyboard for just $29. But come on, just a month later and it’s so faulty!? But the product really felt it was made with cheap material – very plastic and flimsy feeling.
Therefore this morning, I went to Compass Point shopping mall to shop around for a new set of keyboard and mouse. I was not able to do much research into what I should buy since my mouse was faulty last night. But I did do some last minute research and decided to go with Microsoft Wireless Desktop 3000. Obviously I am not going back to Logitech. So my next option will be Microsoft. I considered going for wired connection. But the problem is the distance between my computer casing and where I put my mouse, is quite far. So standard range of wired mouse that is about 1 metre to 2 metres is not enough I felt too. So I still had to go with the wireless option.
I am frustrated because I often land myself in this situation whereby I get a cheaper range of product thinking, “Can use can already right?” Just like the controller for PC. End up I have to buy another one as the cheaper one is faulty so fast. Now same goes for the keyboard and mouse. So I end up spending more money compared to if I buy a more expensive one right in the first place. In Chinese literally it means, “One Cent Money, One Cent Goods.” Now I hope this Microsoft one is good! Oh this one cost me $69 after discount from originally $99. That is 3 times the price of the Logitech MK260 I paid for.

Bryan Chung Have you heard this year National Day Parade 2011 theme song? Entitled “In A Heartbeat” performed by Sylvia Rastonel. I like the music video a lot! In this short 3 minutes video, it tells the story of Singapore from the perspective of a family, centre-ing on two main characters – Mother and Son, whose story brings out different elements of the Singapore Spirit, with Singapore’s history as the backdrop. There are parts of the video that reminds me of my younger days too. Of the titbits that I like to eat back then.
I have a dream of starting a life
I have a hope, a flame alight
This is the moment, freedom is calling
This is my start, a new beginning
I have a heart, it beats for you
A step at a time, our spirits renew
Living together under the sun
Our hearts will beat as one
In a heartbeat, I’ll be there for you
In a heartbeat, no one else will do
In a heartbeat, we will always be
Together, united; you and me
In a heartbeat, time has passed us by
In a heartbeat, we will reach the sky
In a heartbeat, this will always be
Our people, our country
This is our family
Nothing will stand in our way
We can be strong today
The flame is alive
This is our life
In a heartbeat, I’ll be there for you
In a heartbeat, no one else will do
In a heartbeat, we will always be
Together, united; you and me
In a heartbeat, time has passed us by
In a heartbeat, we will reach the sky
This will always be
Our people, our country
This is our family
Are you feeling the National Day mood already? :)
