Last day of holidays :(

My two months of holidays is into its last day today. After this weekend, it will be back to school days. Although initially I was very looking forward to school as I head into my final semester, my thoughts changed when I received my timetable. Not only is my timetable different from my good friend Louis, I was given one subject lesser than supposed-to-take. One less subject is not any good because I will still have to go and apply for one more subject when school reopens. That also means that my what-looks-to-be-free timetable will be even more packed.

Different from Louis; one lesser subject; is nothing compared to how worst I felt when I realised my study timings clashed with my girlfriend’s one. Days when I am free, she is not. Days when she is free, I am not. Suddenly I felt so suffocated that I even have thoughts of dropping my subjects just to make more time with my dear.  When I told Chee Hoong about this, he said “Then I rather you faster finish your term so you can spend more time with her rather than you drop your subject and you still have to delay more months graduating.” (Well okay his English not so powerful till he said so nice sentence. Something like that I edited. Haha!) So I thought about it again, the only positive thing I see is that my current timetable will last only for 7 weeks after that I will get another. Louis said, “7 weeks… short also not short… long also not long.” I replied, “Well in a relationship situation, 7 weeks is very long for me.

When I told my dear about my timetable, not exactly the timings yet, just about bad it is, she already gave me the sad face. Gosh! So now what I am going to face for the next 7 weeks will be mainly a bunch of new people I am going to meet in class and more importantly (and sadly), lesser time with my dear. Well if God wants to put our relationship to the test, great! Cause we will stand strong and still love each other! For with God, nothing shall be impossible!

Kutless – What Faith Can Do

I was recommended this song by Kutless – What Faith Can Do by my girlfriend few days ago. She was sharing with me about this song is the song that kept on from going on when she feels down. Since then, I have repeatedly listened to this song. I am totally in love with the song. I told my girlfriend that we should make this “our song”. So when times of problems arise, we know we should have faith to believe and carry on. We both understand that problems will arise, not “if”, but “when”. The lyrics are so meaningful. And I am trying to learn the song on guitar. Here is the video from YouTube.

Everybody falls sometimes
Gotta find the strength to rise
From the ashes and make a new beginning
Anyone can feel the ache
You think it’s more than you can take
But you are stronger, stronger than you know
Don’t you give up now
The sun will soon be shining
You gotta face the clouds
To find the silver lining

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

It doesn’t matter what you’ve heard
Impossible is not a word
It’s just a reason for someone not to try
Everybody’s scared to death
When they decide to take that step
Out on the water
It’ll be alright
Life is so much more
Than what your eyes are seeing
You will find your way
If you keep believing

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do

Overcome the odds
You don’t have a chance
(That’s what faith can do)
When the world says you can’t
It’ll tell you that you can!

I’ve seen dreams that move the mountains
Hope that doesn’t ever end
Even when the sky is falling
And I’ve seen miracles just happen
Silent prayers get answered
Broken hearts become brand new
That’s what faith can do
That’s what faith can do!
Even if you fall sometimes
You will have the strength to rise

You Need The Holy Spirit

If you are a new believer in Christ who received the Lord Jesus Christ into your life last week during Easter, this is a sermon that you should follow up on. Or even if you are already a believer yet you feel you are dried up. You need the Holy Spirit back in your life! Rev. Dr. Kong Hee was preaching from Ezekiel 37 over the weekend services at City Harvest Church. How the Lord put Ezekiel in the midst of the valley that were full of bones. And how the Holy Spirit brought Ezekiel through.

The Holy Spirit is represented by many things…

  • Dove – Speaks of Peace
  • Fire – Speaks of Passionate
  • Oil – Empowering
  • River of Water – Refreshing
  • Wind – Invisible Power

And the Holy Spirit is also symbolised by breathe.

God often takes you through valley of experiences. God is more interested in your character than your comfort. God gives you an anointing to go through the valley and make it into a spring through your attitude. So that you do not become bitter but better.

In the sermon, you will also learn the Secrets of Overcoming Impossible Situations and What the Holy Spirit Produces in You.

Full sermon can be found in my Sermons page.

Restaurant City – Japanese Theme

Yeah!” to PlayFish’s this week update for Restaurant City. They introduced the Japanese theme! A theme that I will not want to turn down to renovate my restaurant too. So from the nice sandy beach Tiki theme, my restaurant is now the nice cherry Japanese theme. Special thanks to Jennie, my good friend from Sweden who spent PlayFish cash to buy me the Cherry Blossom Tree to further beautify my restaurant. That tree produced pink leaves falling into the restaurant. Here is a screenshot of the exterior and interior of my restaurant.

I know the jackpot machines looks strange but I am not removing those too because they are gifted to me by Jennie too long ago. So is the Japanese koi pond that you see towards the right. All PlayFish cash items. Looks like I will be keeping this theme for a while until another super nice one! :)
