Cafe World Drive-Thru Theme

Although I have always been blogging about Restaurant City, here is my first time I am show casing my Cafe World design. Spent half a million renovating my Cafe World. Since I started this game, I have been aiming to design a Drive-Thru theme. Kind of like a fast-food restaurant. And the colour-theme of this Drive-Thru furniture provided by the game sure make it look like McDonald’s!

For now the name of my cafe is just “Bryan’s Cafe”. Never give it a proper name. Anyway I am not addicted to this game. Basically I log into the game once per day only. Just to harvest my food and make another round of food that will take 24 hours to cook. Other than that, I do not leave this game running to play unlike what I done for Restaurant City previously. This game is too time consuming I feel and takes up too much CPU resource to play. Hence making my computer quite lag when I do other things.

Hope you like that theme! :)

Have a safe trip Brittany dear!

Today is the day my dear Brittany will leave on a week-long trip to Hong Kong. She is going together with her classmate Narelle on a school trip. First time she will be out of the country without her parents. Also first time for me to be not able to see her for one week. Well yeah good thing is that it is only one week. 7 days will pass by quickly. Before leaving, I treated her to lunch opposite at Heartland Mall. She ordered spaghetti with chicken chop. Seeing her so clumsy with the chicken, I had to slice it for her. “Haha! She is so cute!” And there was a moment of tension when I kindly stirred her tea for her and she smacked my hand causing some tea to spill over. But all is fine of course! It is such small incidents that make me (or maybe her too) realized our friendship is no longer so sallow.

Her biggest concern for me I think is hoping that I do not injure myself on the basketball court during the week. Many at times it is because of her constant reminder on the court, yelling at me to not play in the center position. A position that I should never be at but sometimes I just happen to be there jumping for ball. “CAREFUL!!!” she will scream. Ironically before she left, while playing yesterday, the same thing happened. She was not at the court. And I jumped and landed on my friend’s foot. I heard three sickening cracks! Thankfully now is seems okay although just feel a slight pain. So now without her by my side at the court, I shall be more careful while playing. “This I promise you my dear!

It was nice of her to make a dedication to me on her blog before leaving. And she even bought me a packet of chocolates from Marks & Spencer. With that she also gave me a letter. “Err! Why she make it sound like she is leaving for good? Haha!” But really appreciate her thoughts for me. Now is my turn to return this post dedicated to her and wishing her a safe trip!

Travel safe my dear and may God be with you everywhere and everytime! See you this Sunday! Love you!

The Pasta Shop @ Airport T3

Louis and I have been wanting to try the pasta at The Pasta Shop – a sister outlet of the famous Sakae Sushi. We thought the nearest branch was somewhere in town or even Tiong Bahru. But after doing a search online, we realised there was a branch located at Changi Aiport Terminal 3. Since it was nearby where we were currently at, we decided to drive there. I had multiple cash vouchers to make use of. And based on my previous experience at Sakae Sushi Century Square, I made sure I asked if the vouchers were valid at this branch. Seriously I thought there was no issue in using it since they are all under the same Management. Much to my dismay, the waiter told me the vouchers were only meant for dining Sakae Sushi. Louis did not want to eat anymore but I told him it was alright since I still can make use of the Sakae Dollars accumulated in my card.

We were so spoilt for choices when we were browsing through the menu. So many pasta to choose from and so many we wanted to try. Took us more than 5 minutes before we finally decided on what to order.

The two choices we ordered were fantastic! Simply delicious! I ate TPS Style Carbonara. Served in Wafu cream sauce with pork, bacon and eggs.  Normally pasta dishes, the eggs are cooked together with the pasta. But not for this dish. And that is what I believe made this dish nice because the sunny egg is cooked slightly and place on top of the pasta. Because of that, it does not make the cream sauce too thick. Usually when I eat cream sauce pasta, I get sick of the dish very quickly. Louis ate TPS Furikake Chicken. Another “boomz” dish! No wonder next to the dish on the menu it states “Grow madly in love!” Pan fried pasta served with chicken that is marinated so well!

However the prices per dish are quite expensive. On average a plate of pasta will cost $14.90. A price not affordable for students I believe. So I hope they will come out with some kind of student meal for students. Another way to attract more customers. There was another table of adults were took their table and after browsing through the menu, decided to not eat and leave. Thankfully being Sakae Sushi e-Journalist, I am giving the privilege to dine in for “free” monthly as long as I know how to control my spending.

Thank you Sakae!

Friday the 13th!

It’s Friday the 13th! To get rid of this “bad luck” day as people think it is, here are two videos I found in YouTube to tickle you. Have fun laughing! :D

Preparation for Christmas

It will be more than a month more to go but shopping centres are already preparing for Christmas. I was at Tampines Mall together with Louis, Kenneth and Jinq-Yi for an early lunch. I was surprised to see the huge Christmas tree already up in the mall as I came up from the escalator.

So does that Christmas tree look anything like one year ago when I took the Christmas tree at Tampines Mall too? (Click here to see that post.) So my first Christmas photo this year is with Jinq-Yi! Too bad Louis and Kenneth did not want to take. Not that I did not ask them to take together.

For lunch, we decided to eat at Pizza Hut since their student meal isn’t that expensive. It was only 11am and Pizza Hut just rolled up their shuttles and we were their first customers. Initially I wanted to eat pizza but changed my mind and ate pasta instead.

After lunch we drove back to school as Jinq-Yi needed to be back at school. She went back to Malaysia over last weekend. And she bought me this Chupa-Chups from Malaysia. What is different about this lollipop is that, it is not only a lollipop but also bubblegum. Something that Singapore does not sell since gums are banned in Singapore.

I have not opened it to eat it. So I do not know how it is like. Whatever the case, “Thanks Jinq-Yi!” And one final photo is one I self-took at Ikea eating hot-dog together with Louis. It was after school and we were hungry. On the way home, we stopped by Ikea to grab a quick bite. We are getting addicted to their hot-dog. Cheap and good! Only $1 each! Have you tried it before?
