Restaurant City Damn Cheat!

(This post has nothing to do with cheating in Restaurant City.) It is PlayFish itself that is damn cheat! Few days ago they released the prawn ingredient in the market selling for $7000. Few days later the today, it is on sale again only for $4000! I spent $119,000 in total for 17 prawns. If I would have bought it at today’s price of $4000 each, I would only have spent $68,000. That is a huge difference of $51,000! I am sure I am not the only one feeling so cheated by PlayFish. How can they do such a thing!

I spent $90,000 on 10 salads few days ago. Now I am beginning to feel I am going to get cheated sometime soon again. *Pissed*

Happy Birthday Kah Yan!

Happy Birthday Kah Yan!

Took me weeks to organize a birthday dinner for Kah Yan. I thought of having the dinner since we have so many neighbours who play basketball together often. So I gathered everyone to see who is keen for the dinner. Initial plan was to eat lunch at a Japanese restaurant at Cineleisure specialized in pasta. Then more plans materialized. Such as having a BBQ session in our condominium; having a pot-luck dinner at the function room; eating at Joe’s Cafe. But the final decision I made was to eat at New York New York instead. Main reason is because of the price of the food. In the end, 10 friends including myself turned up for the dinner. Here are some photos taken during the dinner.

I am actually quite relieved that things went well. I was afraid no one turns up; they did not enjoy the food; they did not like the place; no one will talk, etc. Thankfully none of those happened and I *think* most (if not all) enjoyed themselves! The only thing we did not have is a birthday cake for Kah Yan. I do feel quite lousy to have left out that when it is probably one of the most important things of a birthday celebrations. “Sorry Kah Yan!

Special thanks to everyone who was present and made this birthday dinner a success for Kah Yan!

Restaurant City Game Updates

After the game maintenance today, Restaurant City added one very good feature into the game. Having an “Ingredient Market” function. That is allowing players to purchase whatever is on sale for that day using the game money. And it is the best ingredient that was sold today – PRAWN! Considered as the rarest ingredient in the game today, it was sold for $7000 per prawn! Can you imagine paying $7000 for a prawn in your local market?! “Haha!” If that is not expensive enough, the other two ingredients – Apple and Sweetcorn was sold at $10000 each! Seriously expensive apple / sweetcorn! But still I was willing to spend the money to buy 17 prawns. I have wasted $119,000 on 17 prawns! Anyway for those who do not know where this “Ingredient Market” is, it is located inside your restaurant view, along the pavement. Here is a screen shot for you.

Do save up your money now or spend it wisely! You never know what ingredient is for sale the next day. Now I am hoping for flour, potato and tomato! Have fun playing Restaurant City!

No basketball for a week

I went to consult a Chinese physician this afternoon regarding the pain on my lower back. I sustained the injury more than two weeks ago. I have been trying to self-medicate by applying Emulgel or even Chinese medicated ointment. However the pain did not go away. Because it is a back injury, I did not want to risk prolonging proper treatment. After doing some movements in the clinic, the physician said my injury is not serious but can potentially lead to a slip-disc if not properly taken care off. So I am glad I finally seek treatment. I will still be able to play basketball even though carrying this injury. The physician just told me not to jump too much. But I decided to rest for a week long anyway.

Unfortunately for Louis, things are worst than expected. He has been carrying a shoulder injury for very long . Probably months if not years. But he has never seen a Chinese physician for his injury. And since he was there with me, he decided to let the physician take a look. But the physician even was not willing to see Louis to charge him because he knows that Louis injury is incurable for now. The physician adviced him to train up his shoulder muscles because it as good as bones only. And if Louis continues to play basketball, it is the matter of time his shoulder will dislocate. With that scary news, Louis has no choice but to stop playing for at least 3 to 6 months. Depending on how he trains and nurse his injury.

For him to not be able to play basketball is as if asking me not to play computer. I feel for Louis but is so sad.

Pristina Overnight Stay

For the first time I had a cousin stay overnight at my place. Pristina SMS me last Thursday saying she wanted to play basketball the following day. Since she had no school on Friday, she did not want to stay at home. So I invited her over to not only play basketball but to stay over for a night. When she was at my place, she spent lots of time using my laptop to watch videos and play games. Unfortunately it was raining heavily in the afternoon on Friday. Although the rain subsided, it was quite late in the evening already. And since she came in the first place wanting to play, I did not want disappoint her. So I gathered few other friends and convinced them to come down and play too. I had to mop the court dry by clearing away the puddles of water. Still we had a good time playing! Together with my friends, we also went opposite to have dinner at McDonald’s after the game. So the day turned out well!

The following day, I helped her to renovate her Restaurant City and bought lots of furniture for her. So at least her restaurant now looks better than before with a beach theme. Pristina was the one who recommended me to play Restaurant City more than a month ago. Thanks to her I am addicted to the game (well not as much as initially now though). Here is a screenshot of her Restaurant City.

I drove her home on Saturday when I was along the way to church with my mom. It was a great time of bonding and Pristina is my closest cousin to me.

Have a good week ahead!
