My New Beast Commander

My old Adidas new Young Guns 2010 shoes are almost not wearable condition anymore. The insole of the shoes had come off. And the friction of the bottom of the shoes is bad. Now that I just checked on my blog, that pair was bought more than a year ago already. Since 23 May 2010, I was wearing that pair. I thought it was not too long ago that I bought it. So now that it has been one year, I think it lasted quite long. Some change basketball shoes like every 6 months. :)

Accompanied me to Queensway Shopping Centre were Tiffany, Derrick and Ian. Derrick and Ian wanted to go there to buy a present for Kenneth’s birthday (apparently is today (this is point of blogging), so “Happy Birthday Kenneth!“). Before going, I had no idea what to buy. All I knew I was looking for a high ankle shoes. I wanted to try Nike but none of the Nike models were nice. There was LeBron James one, but hell I am not going to buy that loser shoes. And there was Kobe Bryant shoes, but all low cut. For the purpose of protecting my ankle, I had to buy high ankle shoes. After shopping, I was down with two choices…

Both prices were the same. I kind of like the blue one more, so does Tiffany. But Derrick, Ian and Louis (I sent him the above picture through WhatsApp) all said the black was nicer. I finally decided to go with the black pair. Because it was newer and I kind of like the base of the shoes more. Looks more long-lasting. The shoe model is called Beast Commander. It is signed by the NBA All-Star player, Dwight Howard. So can imagine I am a guard player wearing a center player shoes.

Original price was $169 and I managed to bargain till $126. So I hope this pair will last me for another year or more since when I do start working, I should not be playing that often like I am for the past year. :)

My Best Assist in NBA2K11

With nothing much to blog about, at least I can show my best assist I made in NBA2K11 game yesterday. I have tried this move before but it always failed. Finally it was successful!

Steal … Fast-break … I saw Kobe Bryant trailing my run, so I throw the ball against the backboard and he finished it with a dunk, giving me the assist! :)

New Basketball from Derrick & Kenneth

One more day to my birthday, my first birthday present this year is from Derrick and Kenneth who shared to buy me a new basketball. Actually is what I told them that I wanted since my current ball I am using is quite worn out. That is the ball that Timothy bought for me last year. Yeah only one year and the ball condition is not quite playable anymore. But one year on an outdoor court and used almost every day, I think is not bad already. Considering is Anta brand – from China! But I still refuse to buy the expensive Molten or Spalding basketball. This time round I will be trying Erke brand. The grip of the ball feels good. Not yet tested it on the court though.

As for my current ball, I decided to pass it on and give it to Kenneth. Kenneth, whom got into basketball as his CCA in school, does not have a ball to play with when he is free. So since he does not mind my ball, I gave it to him. Oh this new ball cost only $32.90 compared to the expensive Molten or Spalding ball that may cost up to $70. :)

Friends Playing Basketball

One day when I came back from work, I carried my camera along with me. Saw Derrick, Darren and Kenneth playing basketball. And I decided to take some photos. I am still trying to learn to take good sports photo. Looking at all the NBA photos that were taken, all so good! Although I do not have the camera like those professional, but at least I want to take some nice angle or clear photos. But it seems tough to take sports photos. Much learning to do.

I think is important to capture the person and the ball within the photo. Else without the ball, it seems like the player is just being crazy. Haha! Like one of the photo above. Anyway just look at them, so much fun! :)

NBA 2K11 Videos – Player of the Game

After previously showing you guys the video from NBA 2K11 on Kobe Bryant and Shannon Brown, here is another video by Bryan Chung! Yup that is my name, my player playing in My Player mode of the game! Having won the Player of the Game, I decided to record it down and here is the video. :)

Besides that, here is the video of me after dropping 50 points – highest career points thus far!

Let me say that I am ADDICTED to this game! :) I spent hours per day playing it, even after work!
