A quick blog to wish Tiffany a very Happy 13th Birthday! Oh yeah 13th! Finally you are no longer 12++++++! Here is a Smurf that her friends bought it for her. I bought her a pink bag from Zinc. But too bad no photo. =D

I met Tiffany for dinner and she treated me to Sakae Sushi! It was not planned that she treats me but she still paid of the meal costing $40. :)

Happy 22nd Anniversary City Harvest Church!

Over last weekend services, City Harvest Church celebrated its 22nd Anniversary! Times over the past 14 months have been difficult for the church even before we moved from Singapore Expo to its current location at Singapore Expo. But most of the church members stood by the church and never gave up. Thanks to the grace of God, the church is still moving on strongly, from glory to glory!

“Choose LOVE” is the theme for the church since the beginning for 2011. I choose LOVE! You? :)

“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven; for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust’” (Matthew 5:43-45).

“Thank you Pastor Kong, Sun and City Harvest Church for the sacrifices you have made!“

National Day Parade 2011 Fireworks

So the moment that a lot of people are waiting for … the fireworks towards the end of the parade! Here are two videos of the full fireworks show. The second video includes the pledge taking and singing of the national anthem to end of a wonderful parade!

I feel that this year’s parade is one of the best! Towards the ending of the parade, Twitter worldwide trending had about 3 trends about the parade too! Singapore with just over 4 million people made a worldwide trend! Not bad! :) It was really very happening in Twitter as many friends were tweeting about the parade. It was fun to be just tweeting with friends online while watching the parade. =)

Kenneth’s 13th Birthday

One week ago, Derrick and Ian organized a birthday party for Kenneth’s who turned 13th. Both Derrick and Ian worked hard I know as they tried to get friends to come for Kenneth’s party. Plans changed from one to another. But they finally took up my idea of using my condo function room to hold the party. Luckily the function room was available despite last minute booking. See them both working so hard to try organizing the party reminds me of how hard it is to actually be an organizer. But glad that all turned out well. Although the initial delivery of 4 boxes of pizzas were not enough, Derrick’s mum ordered more without us having the pay the extra cost. So “Thanks aunty!“

So here are some photos from that day. Haha I feel guilty for the first set of photos before it was my idea to throw Kenneth into the pool. The friends failed on the first attempt to grabbed hold of Kenneth. But after a “proper planning”, they went for the second attempt and succeeded.

Then while Kenneth was bathing at Derrick’s house, the friends hide his shoes up on a ledge. That jersey (top left of the below photo) was a gift to him from Derrick, Darren and Ian. They wanted to put number “1″. But I suggested “13″ because is his 13th Birthday. So the “13″ will remind Kenneth that it was a present for him on his 13th birthday.

Next set of photos are taken by Tiffany who took my camera to the basketball court while I camped in the function room. Here are friends playing basketball.

Finally of course we have the official birthday cake, singing Kenneth birthday song (he is like shy to the max) and him cutting cake.
