With nothing much to blog about, at least I can show my best assist I made in NBA2K11 game yesterday. I have tried this move before but it always failed. Finally it was successful!

Steal … Fast-break … I saw Kobe Bryant trailing my run, so I throw the ball against the backboard and he finished it with a dunk, giving me the assist! :)

My First Title with Lakers

I started as a rookie, played my way in pre-games and was in the NBA draft pick of Round 1 26 Pick. OKC Thunders picked me from the draft. I performed well in the Summer League was given a chance to play for the team in the NBA level. Midway through the season, I requested to be traded to the Lakers. My trade was granted as Lakers came and acquired my service. By the end of the regular season, I played my way from a bench player to a Starter role. Getting more and more playing minutes. My player overall rating were from a low 40 till 70. I have won my first Championship Title with the Lakers! Oh, I am all talking about the game of NBA 2K11! :) Here is the video of Lakers team visiting the White House after winning. President Obama is in the game!

The player holding the ball is me, doing a “2″ pose. I supposed “2″ is because I won two MVP awards.

Awards I won in my first season include:

Rookie of the Year
MVP of Season 10/11
Play-off MVP of Season 10/11

Amazing achievements! Only thing I did not get to win is being in the NBA All-Star Rookie Team. But I love the feeling of the fans chanting “MVP MVP MVP” when I am taking free throws now. I am nowhere near giving up the game as it is still very addictive! I am looking for a back-to-back title! And I will stay in Lakers for as long as Kobe Bryant is still playing. :)

Congrats L.A. Lakers – NBA 2010 Champions!

After a hard fought Game 7 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, Lakers beat their closest rival Celtics with the score of 79-83. With that win, Lakers win their back-to-back championship, and their 16th NBA championship! It was a hard fought game because both teams were struggling on the offensive end with Lakers shooting only 26% in the first half. Worst yet, Kobe Bryant shooting was so bad. The largest lead of the game by Celtics was over 10 points. Yet Lakers came from behind and turned the game around in the second half. A true spirit of champions! They outscored the Celtics in the 4th quarter to win the match!

Even though Kobe offensive game was limited to just 6 made baskets out of 24, he grabbed a total of 15 rebounds! And with an average of almost 30 points per game throughout the finals playoff, he was crowned the NBA Finals MVP!

Rightfully so that Kobe gave much credits to his teammates. Especially Pau Gasol he mentioned. And not forgetting Ron Artest who scored the critical 3-pointer shot deep in the 4th quarter. In the end, it was the entire Lakers team effort that saw them through for another championship title! Kobe’s 5th NBA championship ring, and so is Fisher’s.

Once again, CONGRATS L.A. LAKERS! “Beat L.A.“? No, it’s “BE L.A.“! :)

New Adidas Basketball Shoes

I bought my third pair of basketball shoes in just over a year of playing basketball. My first pair was Adidas. Second pair Kobe Bryant’s Zoom 5 from Nike. And my latest pair is back to Adidas. Seriously I found it quite painful to have to stop wearing my Kobe’s shoes. But I have no choice. That pair of shoes had caused me too many ankle injuries. Well okay it may not be exactly the shoes at fault but still because it was low ankle cutting, it will make me more prone to ankle injuries. That is why my third pair this time is a high ankle cutting shoes. And after shopping with Louis and Chee Hoong at Queensway Shopping Centre earlier this week, I decided to go for Adidas new Young Guns 2010 shoes.

I was considering this pair with Adidas TS Commander. But decided to go for this even though it cost more. At least these shoes has Kobe’s yellow colour. And hence it will be able to match with the many Kobe jerseys I have. While the TS Commander was white and blue in colours and it was also rather old, although it was $25 cheaper than this pair that cost $95 – after bargaining down from $135.

I have worn it two times on the court so far and still adjusting to the high ankle cutting. Adidas shoes are famous for not lasting very long in terms of shoe conditions comparing to Nike. But with my lesser running around the court now, I hope this pair can last me longer! :)

New Clothing for Chinese New Year

There were two days for the past two weeks that I spent shopping with Louis for Chinese New Year clothing. First time round we went to Orchard and I only bought a single shirt from Far East Plaza. I could not find much at Orchard. The following week we went to Bugis where I normally get my clothing for the past years. So again I bought the rest of the clothing I needed at Bugis Village and Bugis Junction.

The top left shift was bought from Domanchi in Bugis Junction. It was a nice piece and having 20% discount. Then I bought a Kobe Bryant t-shirt from B.I.R.D. Okay actually that and the next yellow shirt are not really for Chinese New Year. But because I wanted a Kobe Bryant t-shirt and more yellow shirts, so I bought both yellow. Bought a long pant from Messy in Bugis Village and so is another short pants. That pair of white shoes cost me only $29.90! I did buy a pair of white shoes at Tampines 1 not too long ago. Did not know why I spent to buy another pair. But I like this with the brown and since it was not too expensive, I bought it. Oh not forgetting the first ever pair of jeans I bought myself from Uniqlo! I really hate jeans but decided to give it a try since Louis said, “It’s a must to have one pair!” Now then I realised I forgot to take photo of the first shirt I bought from Orchard.

Oh well anyway I spent about $277.90 in total. Are you done with your Chinese New Year shopping? :)
