Today I am holding a Diploma in Cyber & Digital Security. Basically a lot to do with computing and networking stuff. Today is also the day I am officially unemployed because I should be holding a job now. Yet I am still at home wondering what to do next. As in what kind of industry I should venture into.  2 months back, I applied for a job with the Singapore Police Force but was turned down that offer. Presently I am swaying to going back to ITE to work as a Technical Service Officer. One who will help lecturers in practical classes with students. Because I have this keen on wanting to impart knowledge to younger students. What is hindering me on that path is because in order to progress to be a lecturer, I will need a degree. Even with experience, I may not be able to teach. While if in the outside industry, I have may a higher chance to progress on a higher position with experience, without certification. Hence I am still deep in thoughts though. I am looking through newspaper and job hunting to see what is available for me.

Anyway this 3 years in Temasek Polytechnic has flown by quite quickly actually. And pretty much uneventful compared to all those who went on stage yesterday winning a lot of awards here and there. So I have pretty much nothing to talk about the 3 years. Probably the best thing was to meet Louis in class. He influenced me to play basketball and I probably spent most of my time with him. Going to eat good food; going shopping; changing the way I dress; accompanying me to meet a lot of my friends; etc. And yes really the most important is the basketball part! :) Because I still love the sport till this day! Nevertheless, I am also thankful to meet every single friend I came across and even my lecturers who helped me through my time. Including my parents who supported me though. “BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!” :)

And now… life has to go on. What’s next?

When the ramen came, he told me, “Try the soup!” And when I took the first spoon, it was GOOOOOOD! Damn! The best ramen I ever ate! Ramen Ten or any other ramen shops are beaten, hands down! t was so good that I scalded my tongue (And I hate this feeling! and the feeling is still there today.) because I kept drinking and it was hot. But it was so good! Even the egg was so special! It is a hard-boiled egg yet inside the yolk is still partially cooked only! Amazing!

So I mentioned it was expensive. Yes hell is! That bowl I ate cost $17! And we ordered a plate of gyoza (Japanese dumpling) cost $6 with only 5 pieces. I think the total bill amounted to close to $50. That is not a place I will go back for “casual” dining. More like maybe a birthday event or with my parents. But why I go back to eat again? YES!

I did not initially want to go CyberActive knowing their prices are rather expensive. But when I saw the range of products they have, it was not too bad at least. Because I had options of getting the cheaper or expensive ones. Ranging from $15 to over $50 kind of gamepads. Eventually I bought the one that is nicer looking – my favorite blue color. And since it was also just $18, way below my budget. Did not need to buy such an expensive one I figured, even though this one is rather a “no brand” product.

Oh, I want this gamepad to have the best experience playing the latest NBA 2K11! So Louis was the one who tested the gamepad for me back at my place. And it was so much fun playing NBA 2K11!

No longer is Louis considered a “teen” as he is out of the nineteen age, moving into his twenty’s stage in life! For me, I experienced that suddenly change in “oldness” 6 years ago. Yeah I am so old! Probably I am 26 in age, but 16 in mentality and heart. Or probably some friends might argue it should be 6 and not 16. Haha! Okay but that is not the point here. Happy 20th Birthday Louis! Together with some friends, we celebrated his birthday at my place by having steamboat for dinner. The second year running that we are doing the same thing for his birthday. Almost the same friends attended but some, who made it last year, did not make it this year. While Darryl was the new inclusion to the celebration! (While of course, he had the most budget to sponsor. Hehe!) In fact, Darryl sponsored the entire birthday cake for the celebration!

I think the fun thing about having steamboat is that we are able to go out to shop for the food we want to buy. But again for the second year running again, we over bought food. I still find it hard to estimate how much food to buy. Considering that last year we had more big-eaters in the house compared to yesterday. Hence there was quite a lot of uncooked food that I had to keep to cook next time. I was surprised that we managed to finish the cake considering a few of them could not eat due to some personal reasons.

Now I want to thank those who came to help me make the dinner a success, a happy one for Louis. My initiate plan was to have BBQ instead where I invited over 30 friends. But because the pit was not available, that plan was changed to this steamboat. And due to the space constrain in my house, I could not invite that huge number of friends over. Hence I tried to invite back those who were around the last time round too. :) All the photos taken are uploaded to Facebook and can be found under my profile.
