Woke up on Christmas Day all excited! Because a few of my friends agreed to go church service with me! I have been inviting Dean to service for almost a month already. Finally he kept his word to go with me on this Christmas service. Another friend who came along with me was Chanel. And the usual Tiffany! Ironically it was Chanel and Tiffany first time going out together again after reconciling their friendship some time ago. Dean knew them both since we are all Blackshot clan friends. So together with my mum, we went to City Harvest Church.

The only day that when you wear a hat that I will not look stupid. “Haha!” Ok for this case, Christmas hat. So anyway, kudos to the City Harvest drama team! It was an awesome drama production this year! The setting reminds me of Toy Story! I like the Transformer actor best! It was so cool! Anyway the best part of the service was Tiffany finally deciding to respond to the altar call! She so wanted to go forward from what I see. So I turned to ask, “Are you sure your sins are forgiven?” Seems to me that her eyes were watery. She told me she wanted to go forward but was afraid. So I held her and brought her forward. And there, she accepted Christ! The result of going to service with me for the past few months! Hallelujah! “Tiffany, so proud of you! You are now a child of God! So be Christ-like! Stop being so blur-like! :D“

I received two (“Yes only two.“) presents this year. One was from my mum who bought me two polo t-shirts. The polo t-shirts are what I needed because I pathetically only have one orange one from Uniqlo. So now I have three! The other present was from Tiffany. She bought me a Logitech Cooling Pad! “Now that must be quite expensive!” I mean, cooling pad can buy those cheap $5-$10 kinds without brand. But this from Logitech, I am sure it’s above $20!

(Laptop not included. =P) So now I can put this new cooling pad on my office desk! “Thanks Tiffany for the gift!” To end the day, I ate dinner with Dean and Tiffany who came my place after church service. We went to New York New York at Heartland Mall. We shared a New York Platter.

That is it for my Christmas 2011! “Merry Christmas to everyone!“

After completing the 7 parts blogging about Christina and Lee Xiang trip to Singapore, this post is about them! Err okay not so much about them but this is the two Christmas presents I received from them. (Okay I know Christmas is over almost 2 weeks ago, but I took some time off to not blog after much blogging.) The pen was from Lee Xiang while the wallet was from Christina. Love both the gifts so much! The pen even has my name engraved on it! While as for the wallet, I was only hoping it has a coin compartment, but it does not. Well so I need to get a separate coin purse if I want to go out. Don’t like coins to be all in my pockets. =D

Oh their Christmas present from me was their entrance fees into Sentosa attractions that day we went. =P

“Thank you Darling and Dear!“

Initially my mom booked my birthday dinner at a Japanese restaurant that we have not gone before. It was serving Japanese buffet. However because it was during the Chinese New Year period, the price was increased. Per person can be up to $50. I found it not worth to eat. So we landed up at another Japanese restaurant – Waraku located in Central, Clarke Quay. We had eaten here before. The last time also happened to be my birthday. And if I remember correctly, it was with my good friend Sebrina and my parents last year. Too bad this time, my girlfriend was unable to go with me.

The food was really nice! Just unfortunately, it was only 3 hours ago before dinner that I ate my birthday lunch with my girlfriend at New York New York. Hence I could not really eat a lot. We even had to packet the remaining sushi and I brought it back to the basketball court for Louis who was playing basketball with friends.

Now to write about more presents I received. Well not exactly many more but just 3 in particular.

The basketball was given to me by my god-brother Timothy! Let me tell you how much I appreciate his thoughts. He does not come from a very rich family and is brought up by a single parent. But knowing is my birthday, he really wanted to buy me something. He asked me what I wanted and then I asked him how much he had. Gosh! Knowing that little he has, I really did not want to take anything from him. But he insisted on giving me something. So I proposed he pays half of the amount of that ball while I pay the another half. Half of the cost of the ball is already half of his red packet money that he received for Chinese New Year. That is why I felt so bad and so appreciative. This really makes me feel that if you treat someone good, that person will treat you back good in return. For my friendship with Timothy has been over 3 years. Although we seldom meet, we are still somehow close to one another. He was just a stranger from the gaming world I came across back then.

That bowl you see in the photo was given to me by New York New York restaurant. And the other package was from my good friend from Sweden! Yet another online friend I know through Facebook. Jennie is one whom I can consider closer than friends I have here in Singapore even. She was the one I could share my problems I had with my girlfriend with. Although younger than me, she is already married and could understand what I am going through. In the packet, she sent me two packets of chewing gum, a book filled with pictures of Sweden and a birthday card.

“Thank you Timothy and Jennie!“

The last time I invited friends over to my place for steamboat was last year to celebrate Louis’s birthday. Yesterday once again, I invited my friends over to celebrate my birthday, two weeks early. My birthday falls on 17th February, which would be the Chinese New Year week. While next Saturday is eve of Chinese New Year, so everyone will be eating their reunion dinner with family. Hence, that is why for the early celebrations. However yesterday steamboat was not just to celebrate my birthday but also Chee Hoong’s birthday – whose birthday is a day after mine.

Earlier in the afternoon, I went to buy the food with Louis, Chee Hoong and Brittany. My mom had already bought some food for us. But I felt it was not enough. So after checking with Louis and Chee Hoong, we decided we needed more. Special thanks to them 3 for following me to buy the food and much of the preparation work. Friends started to arrive later that evening. Got a chance to meet up with my good friend who came despite not knowing many of my other friends. Thanks to my god-sister Amanda for bringing her sister Matilda and cousin Serea over too. And of course thanks to other friends like Edward, Russell and Derrick who joined us too. I believed I mentioned everyone who came!

I did feel quite bad for Chee Hoong because it seemed more like celebrating my birthday rather than co-hosting it with him. He received one present from the group while I received about 4, from individual friends. Nevertheless he mentioned he will be having his own buffet party too on another day. Of course he needs to have another party because this year he will hit the milestone for 21st birthday! Surely he needs a better celebration!

A: Kobe Bryant shirt from Group
B: Tweety Bird from Jiayun
C: Chocolates from Matilda & Serea
D: Photo frame from Derrick’s Mom

And more photos…

Once again, thanks for all who took time off to come and enjoy the celebrations for me!

Finally after days of her counting day, it is her birthday! Rebecca is a new friend I made since last Sunday when I saw her at the basketball court of my condominium. Actually we have crossed path a few times but never became friends. Until I decided to take the first step to search for her online. Just based on “Rebecca”, I had to do a lot of Google-ling until I narrowed down my search. And from there finally found her! I decided to find her this time round because I played basketball with her friends that day. Ever since Sunday, we have communicated a lot and got off the friendship to a very good start. I think a lot due to the fact that she is a believer in Christ too! We also had our first lunch outing few days ago. I brought her to City Square Mall to have lunch at Saizeriya. She kept the present box closed until today! So I can go ahead and post the photos too.

I knew she like Elmo. She wanted an Elmo hat but I did not find any at Suntec City when Louis and I went there to shop earlier this week. In fact I found it quite hard to find Elmo products after doing a search on the Internet. A lot of Elmo’s products are plush toys. I did not want to buy her plush toy for I know she already has plenty. Hopefully she likes the presents.

“Rebecca! Let this special day of yours be one to remember! Wishing you a very happy birthday! May God blessings favour you all throughout this 2010! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!“
