After receiving feedback from Quyen, my Facebook friend, I have decided to make some changes to the center portion of my newly renovated Restaurant City Lounge theme. She drew out the idea of how my restrooms should be redesigned. I did not use her idea but with her idea, I kind of got another idea of what I should do. Hence here are the changes.

Here is a close-up screen-shot.

I forgot to set the game to “High Quality” before taking the screen-shots. So the graphics looks edgy. And yes, I prefer this updated layout. :)

“Thanks Quyen for inspiriting me to make the changes!“

I must have stick to my Japanese theme in Restaurant City for over months. But when PlayFish decided to release the lounge bar feature in Restaurant City, it was time I have a theme renovation. And of course none other than the new lounge theme that was released together with the lounge bar. I completed most of the design last week but did not make the theme-switch until this week. It was because I was hoping that PlayFish will release better decorations for the exterior of the restaurant. Unfortunately for this week’s updates, they did not. Hence I had to make do with what kind of decorations there are to do a lounge exterior look. Therefore I do not really like the exterior of my restaurant. But this is what I done thus far.

See! The speakers roof is strange for a lounge restaurant right? So in order to compliment that roof, I designed an indoor concert stage in my restaurant.

With that stage, at least the speaker roof on the outside makes it not-too-bad. I quite like the stage though. Staying on the same side of the restaurant, notice the bottom part of the restaurant. My original idea was not with those red beds. But I wanted to add them in so my staff will work at a faster rate – part of a feature in the game. So it does look kind of out of place. I prefer my original idea which looks like this…

Here is how it looks like when my staff are sleeping on the beds, while off work.

Cute? =D Okay then comes the main part of the restaurant…

The lounge bar I was talking about is on the right side. In the middle of that eating area (a.k.a “island”). I have hired my god-sister Sien Wei as my bartender. :) I merged the lounge bar together with the eating area, rather than having 3 eating areas altogether. The second eating area is on the left side. The center portion is the gaming area while the bottom area is where the restrooms are located. I wanted to place the restrooms at the corner of the restaurant. But I could not find a nice place or design to place it. So I had no choice but to put it there for now.

Overall, I am happy with the design. Many thanks to my Facebook friend Sharon for helping me buy some decorations that required PlayFish Cash (real life cash) and trading with my ingredients. Especially all the mints she took the trouble to trade just to trade with me! “Thanks Sharon!“

Hope you all like that design! :) I should be staying with it for a while again. I did keep my Japanese theme on another layout so I can switch back whenever I want.

“Yeah!” to PlayFish’s this week update for Restaurant City. They introduced the Japanese theme! A theme that I will not want to turn down to renovate my restaurant too. So from the nice sandy beach Tiki theme, my restaurant is now the nice cherry Japanese theme. Special thanks to Jennie, my good friend from Sweden who spent PlayFish cash to buy me the Cherry Blossom Tree to further beautify my restaurant. That tree produced pink leaves falling into the restaurant. Here is a screenshot of the exterior and interior of my restaurant.

I know the jackpot machines looks strange but I am not removing those too because they are gifted to me by Jennie too long ago. So is the Japanese koi pond that you see towards the right. All PlayFish cash items. Looks like I will be keeping this theme for a while until another super nice one! :)

@Serea: “Haha yeah I know I am posting all games.” I mentioned on my first Monday’s post that I will dedicate this week to posting all my games I am playing on Facebook. :D So with that being said, moving on to another two games. Today post is another two games by PlayFish once again following yesterday’s Hotel City. Today is Restaurant City and Poker Rivals. Actually there is nothing much to say about Poker Rivals. I am not an active player in Poker Rivals. I login once a day just to collect the daily jackpot. Till date I have collected $1.3million. Often every week when I watch the television series – High Stakes Poker, I will want to try my luck in Poker Rivals. But then I am so not motivated to gamble.

Next is Restaurant City. Reason why I quit Cafe World is because Restaurant City is so much more fun I feel. While Cafe World is more of cooking food and waiting for hours (or days), Restaurant City give me more reason to play. Earning money in the game and redecorating my restaurant once a while. Cafe World has become so real-life money orientated that so many new decorations cost money. Although Restaurant City seems to be going into that direction too, at least there are enough decorations within the weekly updates to renovate the restaurant if I choose to. But Cafe World is not that case. My latest theme is Hawaiian Theme that PlayFish released few weeks ago. All the themes released after that did not interest me at all. Probably only the New York theme but I am waiting to see what’s more ahead before doing another theme change.

I think there will be one more game to blog about tomorrow.

I shall try dedicate this week to posting about Facebook games. I have been clearing my Facebook games that I find no interest in playing anymore recently. Games like (fluff)Friends, Cafe World and Home Inn I have removed in recent weeks. (fluff)Friends was the hardest to let go since I was a moderator of (fluff)Forum. But with the game interface being so static, there is little much to do. The game is a lot about creativity, that which I lack. Plus other reasons, I left (fluff)Friends. Followed by Cafe World. I still find Restaurant City much nicer than Cafe World. Hence it was not point for me to continue the game even though I had like $8million cash in it. Finally is Home Inn. Initially nice but when I became high level and going to the next level was so long, I decided to leave. Mainly because I am playing the new game by PlayFish – Hotel City (will blog about this game another day). Well after removing the applications from Facebook, I regret not taking a screenshot of the final play for each game.

Next time I am pondering to quit or not is Zoo World. Louis and I got almost our entire class addicted to this game at one stage. Exchanging animals and racing to the first on our friends’ list. I like the game because I still can earn money without having to enter into the zoo’s flash interface. But the moment I want to decorate my zoo, I have to load the flash interface, and it lags super badly! Example, the moment I start keeping 5 trees, the game starts to lag so badly. It is only playable only if I reload the game after keeping 10 trees each time! Hence, I am really put-off trying to decorate all the zoo maps I have. Here is just one map I decorate and this already took me 3 hours!

I was on the verge of just removing Zoo World yesterday. But today when I woke up, I decided to keep it. Not to try decorate but just earn money and breed more animals. But then again, what is the point of just breeding more and more animals? See, that is why I do not have any more objectives in this game after max level. Until I can find another game to play, I did not mind keeping this game. But it should be on my next “to-clear” list of games.
