My final round of shopping for Chinese New Year. Last week I went out with Charmaine to Nex Shopping Mall, which was a last minute arrangement to meet. This time round, it is also another last minute arrangement to go out with Timothy. Actually was supposed to go out with Sarah. But she insisted on wanting to go AMK Hub while I needed to go Tampines area. So she went ahead herself and me likewise. Thankfully Timothy always seems to be available for me when I need someone. I was shocked when I met with him at Tampines Mall as he has grown taller than me! Seeing him growing up through the years from 12 to 16, it is quite amazing we can still get along!

Anyway I needed to go Tampines because the two shops I wanted to shop at are in the same location – Crocs and Uniqlo. I cannot think of anywhere else that has these two shops at the same location. I was also shopping for gifts for my colleagues at work as I will be ending my 5-month long internship on Wednesday! (YES FINALLY! Will blog another time about it.) There are the three shopping malls at Tampines. We shopped all three of it. End of the short 2 hours of shopping, I bought a pair of pants from Uniqlo, a pair of Crocs shoes and two gifts. =)

I do not have photo of the pants because it is still at the shop for alteration, collection only another day. I was deciding between getting a Converse canvas shoes or Crocs shoes. I already have a Crocs slip-on shoes and I know it is very comfortable. I did see a pair of Converse canvas shoes I like. Very similar to the Crocs one in fact. But when I saw Crocs having this latest range of canvas shoes, I decided to buy Crocs instead. So much lighter in weight and comfortable! Although the price is $90.90 compared to Converse $69.90. But still that is only $20 difference to get a more comfortable pair. Although I also know that Crocs is super overpriced. Well, I was given the budget to spend, so I might as well spend it! :)

Yes I chose red color! My first pair of red shoes! And the one person whom keeps flashing across my mind when I see that shoes is… Christina! Why? :P Weird. So anyway I failed to buy a pair of bermudas and any t-shirts. Well maybe some last minute shopping before Chinese New Year? Will see about it! :) So far I spent about $340 of my budget. Should be alright. :)

Last Saturday, I had to go out for my Chinese New Year shopping of clothing. But in my attempt to ask my friends out to shop with, none responded. Thankfully the one friend who responded managed to make an impromptu decision to shop with me. So I am thankful that my god-sister Charmaine agreed! By then it was already 5pm. So we met an hour later. Instead of going to Bugis Street to shop, a place I go to yearly, I decided to try out the heartland shopping centre this year. So just one train station away was Nex Shopping Mall. As huge as the mall is, there are so few shops selling guys’ stuff! So many shops are like only girls fashion stuff. There was this one guys’ fashion shop that I manage to buy two shirts from.

Both of that cost me $80, one for $35 while the other was $45. There were also two t-shirts that I thought was not too bad. But I wanted to shop around to see if I can find others. However when I found nothing and decided to go back to the shop to buy, one of the two t-shirts was sold! And because it was 2 for $30, I decided to not bad. So unlucky! So now I only have two shirts and no t-shirts.

I also bought a new bottle perfume. The current Hugo Boss Energize I am using, is going to run out soon. I wanted to try another kind of perfume since I have used this for quite long. I was looking for something that could last longer through the day. After much smelling, I decided to go for this brand I never heard before.

Err, I am not sure even if Paco Rabanne is the brand or Ultraviolet Man is the brand. Well my guess is Ultraviolet Man is the perfume name while Paco Rabanne is the brand? Hehe! That bottle cost me $79. Moving on, I bought a pair of working shoes from Bata. I like Bata’s new range of flexible shoes because it is so comfortable to wear. I will probably replace my current black shoes with this pair after the Chinese New Year.

That pair cost $69. So far I spent about $240. But I still do need to buy pants, be it formal or informal pants. Or maybe just one more pair of jeans. The t-shirts are still not so important since I feel I have lesser chance to wear t-shirts as I should be going into the workforce after graduating. That is why I need to do more shopping and hence my blog topic is “thus far”.

Where to shop next? :)

Who will want to shop with me next? :)

Oh and finally, “Thanks Charmaine sister for going out with me! :)“

There were two days for the past two weeks that I spent shopping with Louis for Chinese New Year clothing. First time round we went to Orchard and I only bought a single shirt from Far East Plaza. I could not find much at Orchard. The following week we went to Bugis where I normally get my clothing for the past years. So again I bought the rest of the clothing I needed at Bugis Village and Bugis Junction.

The top left shift was bought from Domanchi in Bugis Junction. It was a nice piece and having 20% discount. Then I bought a Kobe Bryant t-shirt from B.I.R.D. Okay actually that and the next yellow shirt are not really for Chinese New Year. But because I wanted a Kobe Bryant t-shirt and more yellow shirts, so I bought both yellow. Bought a long pant from Messy in Bugis Village and so is another short pants. That pair of white shoes cost me only $29.90! I did buy a pair of white shoes at Tampines 1 not too long ago. Did not know why I spent to buy another pair. But I like this with the brown and since it was not too expensive, I bought it. Oh not forgetting the first ever pair of jeans I bought myself from Uniqlo! I really hate jeans but decided to give it a try since Louis said, “It’s a must to have one pair!” Now then I realised I forgot to take photo of the first shirt I bought from Orchard.

Oh well anyway I spent about $277.90 in total. Are you done with your Chinese New Year shopping? :)

Often the Lunar New Year will fall in this month, Valentine’s Day (although I do not celebrate this day being single) and most importantly, MY BIRTHDAY! Err, okay maybe not as important as Lunar New Year since during that holidays can collect red packet = money! :) I am still not done shopping for my New Year clothing although I bought a couple already. Planning to go Bugis one of this day in this week to shop. And will be looking forward to this coming Saturday birthday steamboat celebrations with few friends at my house! I pray that all will go well!

Have a good start to February!
