I am sharing these sermons that I have learnt from church service at City Harvest Church – Singapore. I hope that after reading the sermons, it will impact you for the better in life! Ultimately I pray that you will be touched by the love of God. These sermons are not preached by me but just notes taken by me during the service that is preach by a pastor.

National Day Parade 2011 Fireworks

So the moment that a lot of people are waiting for … the fireworks towards the end of the parade! Here are two videos of the full fireworks show. The second video includes the pledge taking and singing of the national anthem to end of a wonderful parade!

I feel that this year’s parade is one of the best! Towards the ending of the parade, Twitter worldwide trending had about 3 trends about the parade too! Singapore with just over 4 million people made a worldwide trend! Not bad! :) It was really very happening in Twitter as many friends were tweeting about the parade. It was fun to be just tweeting with friends online while watching the parade. =)

Another Home (The ‘Other’ National Day Video)

I recently watched this on Youtube and decided to share it here. Singapore favourite theme song for National Day has always been “Home” – written by Dick Lee and first sang by Kit Chan. But after so many years, many new version of that song surfaced. One of the better versions was during Total Defence Day. This is that video link from Youtube. But today I share with you “Another Home” – The ‘Other’ National Day Video, created by SINdie. This is a funny version I supposed! :)

Application as Police Officer Unsuccessful

Disappointed I am now. I was so looking forward to joining the Singapore Police Force as a Police Officer. I went for one career recruitment fair after another. When I finally made up my mind to be a Police Officer, my application was unsuccessful. I really thought I can be a policeman. Even till now, I strongly believe I met their physical and educational requirements. When I contacted the Recruitment Department, they told me they cannot reveal what went wrong with my application. So I tried to push it for a few days, calling and e-mailing but end up today I got another reply – basically telling me “good luck in finding another job”. Grr! So much for all the thoughts of going for the police training and the excitement as a police career, all gone now.

So after 4 months graduating from school, I am still unemployed. And I really still do not know what I want now after failing to join the police. And the more I sit at home, the more useless I feel.

So what if I have the paper certification? Yet I feel my skill level suck so badly. Remember my first interview with the ITE? Yeah they said they will call me back, obviously I failed that too since it has been 3 weeks and I have not heard from them. Oh well. I suck. Really at the cross road of not knowing what to do. All I really hope is Police Force give me the chance for an interview, that hard? :(
