Anyway I needed to go Tampines because the two shops I wanted to shop at are in the same location – Crocs and Uniqlo. I cannot think of anywhere else that has these two shops at the same location. I was also shopping for gifts for my colleagues at work as I will be ending my 5-month long internship on Wednesday! (YES FINALLY! Will blog another time about it.) There are the three shopping malls at Tampines. We shopped all three of it. End of the short 2 hours of shopping, I bought a pair of pants from Uniqlo, a pair of Crocs shoes and two gifts. =)

I do not have photo of the pants because it is still at the shop for alteration, collection only another day. I was deciding between getting a Converse canvas shoes or Crocs shoes. I already have a Crocs slip-on shoes and I know it is very comfortable. I did see a pair of Converse canvas shoes I like. Very similar to the Crocs one in fact. But when I saw Crocs having this latest range of canvas shoes, I decided to buy Crocs instead. So much lighter in weight and comfortable! Although the price is $90.90 compared to Converse $69.90. But still that is only $20 difference to get a more comfortable pair. Although I also know that Crocs is super overpriced. Well, I was given the budget to spend, so I might as well spend it! :)

Yes I chose red color! My first pair of red shoes! And the one person whom keeps flashing across my mind when I see that shoes is… Christina! Why? :P Weird. So anyway I failed to buy a pair of bermudas and any t-shirts. Well maybe some last minute shopping before Chinese New Year? Will see about it! :) So far I spent about $340 of my budget. Should be alright. :)

Sigh, Tampines Mall Pizza Hut is one restaurant that brings back many memories… “We often sat there… it is now empty.“

We wanted to take photos together in Pizza Hut. But because there were people seated next to our table, we ended up going out of the place to take. I had to place my camera on top of a rubbish bin to take a timer shot. :P

There was one photo he kissed the badge of his shirt. But I refuse to upload that. :)

He ordered the beef baked rice while I ate the fish & chip with apricot mayo sauce. I thought it was a must to be at Swensen’s and eat their ice-cream. But since we wanted to spend below $10 each for the lunch, we decided not to order any ice-cream.

Not only I will be missing the meals with him, but he may not be very free for basketball too. Erm, on the other hand I can probably save more money to not having to eat out so often for lunch and also for dinner normally after we play basketball.

“Gosh! Bro! Our days are numbered! Haha!” :)

After lunch, we went shopping around the three shopping malls around Tampines – Tampines Mall, Tampines 1 and finally at Century Square. I was shopping for a laptop bag. One with a handle on the bag to carry instead of carrying on my arm. The current one I have, condition is getting quite bad. We stepped into Challenger in Tampines 1. There were quite many to choose from. But after remembering how I got scammed a couple of weeks ago by buying the keyboard vacuum cleaner from them, I decided to not commit to buy yet.

Last time was Century Square. Instead of buying laptop bag, we stopped by Haagen-Dazs for ice-cream. I asked if she wanted to ice-cream and she said Haagen-Dazs is nice. Her eyes were like instantly lilted up hearing Haagen-Dazs. So I knew she wanted to eat it even though I know it is super expensive. The last time I ate at Haagen-Dazs was with my mom.

Two scopes with a cone cost $15! Oh well as long as we are enjoying ourselves, $15 is a small price to pay. :) Each of us chose a flavor. She chose the strawberry cheesecake while I chose Belgium chocolate. Both are very nice! She kept giving me that look when I tried to eat her flavor. She is so cute! Oh by the way it was my dear’s first time eating at Cafe Cartel too. At least I brought her to a place she has not eaten before. :)

So does that Christmas tree look anything like one year ago when I took the Christmas tree at Tampines Mall too? (Click here to see that post.) So my first Christmas photo this year is with Jinq-Yi! Too bad Louis and Kenneth did not want to take. Not that I did not ask them to take together.

For lunch, we decided to eat at Pizza Hut since their student meal isn’t that expensive. It was only 11am and Pizza Hut just rolled up their shuttles and we were their first customers. Initially I wanted to eat pizza but changed my mind and ate pasta instead.

After lunch we drove back to school as Jinq-Yi needed to be back at school. She went back to Malaysia over last weekend. And she bought me this Chupa-Chups from Malaysia. What is different about this lollipop is that, it is not only a lollipop but also bubblegum. Something that Singapore does not sell since gums are banned in Singapore.

I have not opened it to eat it. So I do not know how it is like. Whatever the case, “Thanks Jinq-Yi!” And one final photo is one I self-took at Ikea eating hot-dog together with Louis. It was after school and we were hungry. On the way home, we stopped by Ikea to grab a quick bite. We are getting addicted to their hot-dog. Cheap and good! Only $1 each! Have you tried it before?
